Q: How do virtual visits work?
A: All weight loss and hormone replacement appointments are conducted via secure video telehealth. You can book online, complete forms digitally, and meet with Dr. Jeffrey Edman from the comfort of your home.
Weight Loss & GLP-1 Therapy
Q: What medications do you prescribe for weight loss?
A: Dr Edman offers GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide (Wegovy®) and tirzepatide (Zepbound®), if clinically appropriate. All treatments are tailored to your medical history and goals.
Q: Do you accept insurance for GLP-1 treatment?
A: Dr Edman does not directly bill insurance. Some medications may be covered depending on your plan, but Dr Edman will not fill out any prior authorization forms. You can approach your primary care physician for this purpose.
Q: How fast will I see results?
A: Many patients notice changes in appetite and weight within the first 4–8 weeks. Results vary, and ongoing lifestyle support is key.
Hormone Therapy
Q: What is BHRT for women?
A: Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) helps relieve menopause symptoms such as hot flashes, sleep issues, and low libido by restoring hormone balance. Based on your lab results and symptoms Dr Edman typically uses bio-identical estradiol, progesterone and testosterone for BHRT.
Q: Do you also treat men?
A: Yes, we offer Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) for men with clinically low testosterone and related symptoms such as fatigue, low libido, and decreased vitality.
Q: How is safety monitored?
A: We perform baseline labs, prescribe the lowest effective dose, and require regular follow-up and lab monitoring to ensure safety.
Aesthetic Medicine
Q: What aesthetic treatments do you offer?
A: Services include Jeuveau(Botox), microneedling, chemical peels (VI Peel), fillers, and skin rejuvenation treatments — all physician-guided for safety and results.
Q: Can I combine aesthetics with telehealth?
A: Yes. Initial consults may be done virtually, and in-person sessions are arranged for procedures requiring direct care.

A: Yes — we serve patients in South Carolina and California via telehealth.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept Venmo, major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is collected at the time of booking. Venmo or cash payments will receive a 3% discount for most services.
